OK so I have had a virus in my PC for the last 3-4 days, I've tried everything to my level of knowledge, MalawareBytes ant-virus, Norton,Symantec safe-mode, unsafe mode etc. etc. but it's beaten me. Now before my computer gets any more close to complete failure I reckon it's time to pay someone to fix it. It's my 2nd PC so I'm not screwed for work but it's got all my pictures and stuff on it from the last 4-5 years and guess what, they aren't backed up! Anyone got any recommendations for a private PC guru in the Maidenhead area?

How about PC World? They have their "Tech Guys" I think they call them who can back up your data and reload the OS if required.

Seriously? Has anyone used them? I suppose, perhaps a bit unfairly, I assumed they the PC equivalent of Quick-Fit fitters hehe

If you do not get fixed up let me know. Used a chap called Alex . He charges a flat fee of £50 for an hour. No fix no fee. He sorted out two laptops and two iPhones and wanted to do more. He is based in herts but I am sure he is fairly mobile
