Just noticed if your parking in 1/2 hour free on road in Reading town centre its now meter controlled. Saw 2 cars ticketed today.

50p for 20mins - on the plus side it means you can drive in to Kings Road, head in to town to do what you want to do and leave quickly.

On the negative side, we'll be avoiding Reading!

I am glad I work in the centre of Reading (Forbury Square) and therefore get to use the car park at work for free evening and weekends with 24HR 7 day a week security.

I usually go into Reading on a Sunday evening & park in Kings Road - after this change, last week there were 3 cars parked on the whole street instead of the usual totally full bays, and none of the restaurants had more than 1 table occupied. Good work RBC rolleyes
