The SAS Kiwi BBQ and Mini LOS 2011 thread
Discussion
After the last couple of years of us all enjoying a good cookup and drink up, I think this deserved its own topic (rather than yet another hijacked unrelated SAS thread where we all got lost and confused
)
Vicki and I are thinking the last bank holiday weekend in May, plus if anyone is keen we could run a 3 night tour of the best stops from the last time up. Decent chance of good weather, schools go back in Scotland straight after the BH so traffic will be ok and accommodation cheap and plentiful.
Does anyone know of any other PH type events that might clash on that weekend, as we can easily change the date if that's the case.
If we do get a few interested parties, then would setting up a private 'Facebook event' be the best way to sort the details, or stick to the huge email train like last time?
I'm open to any good ideas... like not repeating the 'nathan commentary' hostel
BTW: I feel the need to state up front that this is purely a "not for profit, not commercially linked, no hidden fees or agenda, and no free riders" event only for SAS approved participants

So far, Dunsfold Dads Day Out event is 14th May.
PhN commercial tour is 15th - 20th May.
BBQ proposed for Sunday 29th May, followed by some sensible driving around a lovely quiet piece of countryside with scenic views. Some drinks to celebrate our efforts, then a day of travel to IOM or home.
IOM races are on 4, 6, 8, 10th June.
Le Mans is not until 11/12 June.
Any other SAS clashes/ excuses?

being a bit thick...what does LOS stand for ?
I'm hoping to still make this, even though am doing a PN one the week before...petrol bill= ouch !!
Lap of Scotland. Acronym sounded better than the original name last time of Tour if Scotland - ie: 11 of us heading away together for a TOS I'm hoping to still make this, even though am doing a PN one the week before...petrol bill= ouch !!

Leave the LC with me and get return flights for the week. I'll be sure to look after it

In true PH tradition, there is a list...
