Perhaps this isn't what you mean, but I normally use http://www.petrolprices.com/ if I remember.

It has handy apps for certain 'smart' phones as well for when you are out and about.

Yes I use PetrolPrices.com

Also haveing a local Sainsburys I fill up there
They sometime do a booklet of stores over the UK

I often plan my route if a long trip taking in their stores to fill up with petrol, getting Nector Points, and the use use of the boys room etc

Often they are just off a motorway or main A road

BP garage on A217 at Lower Kingswood (just north of M25 J8) has derv @ £1.299 (& unleaded @ £1.269 I think).

Surprising because it is usually the most expensive in the area. Garages opposite are at £1.329 & £1.339 for diesel respectively.

I only really pay attention to diesel prices for the Freelander, and then get ripped off for V-Max at nearest Shell for the TVR hehe

The cheapest place in Reading, is always the Shell garage on the A327 on the way out to Shinfield. Has been like that for over a year, no idea why!

Currently at 124.9

As others have mentioned, petrolprices.com is definitely worth signing up for.

Don't you mean Esso? That's where I always go. I think it's cheap because it competes with the Asda in Lower Earley.

I think you are talking about the garage at Spencers Wood.

I know the garage he means , definitely Shell , that is my suggestion for the cheapest petrol around .

Almost whitley Wood .

The garage in Shinfield near Parrot Farm is an Esso. You must mean something the Reading side of the motorway bridge which would make it Whitley Wood wouldn't it?

Yeah, sorry I mean Whitley Wood. That Esso does often compete on price, although for ages it was 1p more expensive.

I have no idea whether the Shell FuelSave claims actually live up to the hype, but it certainly can't be worse!

Sainsburys in Cobham was 124.9 for unleaded the other day. The one in Hampton is normally good and the one in Stanwell at the end of Clare road is often cheap but don't leave your car unguarded!!! Lol!!

I'm interested to know if anyones getting any benefit from it, I've had a card since about july and averaged between £80 and £100 a month of diesel and haven't seen any rewards yet. But its free so anything from it is a bonus.
I do normally find that the shell in fleet is normally 2p cheaper than most garages.

Was gobsmacked to find the Beaconsfield services as cheap as Asda/Morrisons in Wycombe a week ago, they may have put things up now, but worth a look if passing.

I think we're talking at slightly cross-purposes here actually. I thought FuelSave was actually the claims that Shell are starting to make about saving up to a litre of fuel per tank?

Possible I'm confused about what it's called - but that's what I thought I was talking about!

Paid £1.35/l for V Power at the Shell on the Oxford Road. £90 for the tank. Its a joke, will it ever stop?

Nope. Too many excuses to keep it going.
