Due to new toy, I need some one reliable locally to look after the RS6.....Any one good out there, Ben you must know some one?

For mine I either used www.autops.co.uk or www.fontain.co.uk if it was Audi specific or just anyone you trust if not, which for me at the end was Sixbay in Maidenhead.

Yes poor old mondy went to the big carpark in the sky yesterday....dont use M3, cant afford 3 cars, so next best thing...fast family car....RS6..old shape, its an animal, picked it up on sat...BMW not quite gone yet..

For basic consumables, i.e. pads, discs, servce 1, etc, then I use Mill Road Garage in Caversham, Reading.

For major service 2, tuning, problems, upgrades, etc, then it's worth a few miles to go to MRC in Banbury.

(both have loan cars which makes life easier!)

Brilliant car with the only challenge being that you won't want to sell it...

Its has coilover, not sure which yet, bit harsh ride especially at front, is that normal?
Dealer just fitted discs and pads, had cam belts done, other wise stock model, lot of extras from new 04 model 43k miles. I looked at a few, some bad ones out there.

Tendency with the coilovers is that people think the less movement then the better handling... so they tighten them down as opposed to letting them do their job! Doug at MRC can sort that for you.

I'm still running DRC under warranty, but as soon as one fails outside of warranty then I'll be fitting the H&R ARBS and Bilstein PSS coilovers.

I've heard Camberley Audi are good with the RS6. Is that still the case?

I bought my RS6 only a few days ago (2008 Avant), so I'm also on the lookout for a good local place. I go up the M40 regularly, so MRC might be my best option after the main dealer warranty expires next year.

I'd look at renewing if you can. Don4l on here has a new shape RS6 but don't know if she's had any reason to use dealers yet.

For warranty work, I always take mine to Camberley - I took it to another Audi dealer once for a 'service' and gearbox oil change. Unfortunately they forgot to replace the oil seal and 5 miles down the road the gearbox lunched itself... Camberley charged them approx £6k to supply and fit a new gearbox and hire of a Q7 for 4 weeks whilst awaiting parts!

I was close to getting a C5 in December which had PSS9s fitted. Great fun allrounder, and ideal for what I needed, but I had a bit of luck financially which meant I could go for the C6. I don't think I'd have been disappointed in the C5, just the C6 has is much lower mileage and has that little bit "extra" of everything, including the comfort of main dealer Audi warranty and support.

Sounds like a good'un then - hopefully I'll not need to use them, but it's good to know they're there
