Vodafone down this morning?

Anyone else got no Vodafone signal this morning? Me and Mrs W have no signal...have gone from Reading to Slough with no improvement. And before you ask, yes, I have paid the bill

Made the national news apparently but not sure if its gone down for the whole country or just a large section?

Yep, no signal on my phone then went on facebook and everyone on vodafone has no signal.

That's great news! I was about to do a restore on my iPhone so I'm relieved to hear it's a carrier problem and not an iPhone problem

One of the Vodafone data centres was broken into and damaged. They are working to fix it but won't give an ETA. Have had to speak to several of our consultants this morning who can't make calls or get emails!

It's nice to know that their sites are secure!!

I did have a signal about an hour or so ago because a text came through, now nothing again

Mine is still down in Kingsclere. I occasionally get a faint signal so I guess it must be working somewhere nearby but it never stays up for long.

as said above - it looks like its the whole damn country

Note on their website Vod proudly announce the fact that they are the carrier of choice for most of the Emeregency Services due to their reliability

I work for a Vodafone Agent we had the following message sent to us this morning.

- A Basingstoke switchboard was broken into and vandalised last night. Vodafone engineers have been working on it this morning and will be back to normal by midday today.

Guess they've got 45mins to go then! Good luck springs to mind, both my company a private mobile are with Vodafone, however I don't really mind them not working!

Do you think they'll be looking a bit more closely at there disaster recovery / single points of failure after this morning?
