recently got a puppy so looking for suggestions in the local area where we can take the dog for a walk and keep the kids amused (8 & 10) - thinking of places like Lepe? & Queen Elizabeth county park - anywhere else you guys can recommend?

Frimley Lodge Park. There's also one in Lightwater between dual cariageway and Red Road. Also lots of nice areas from the A30 through Chobham towards Knaphill.

I've been around there once - there was dog poo everywhere, mainly in bags hanging from trees.

What's that all about?

I go cycling in Dinton Pastures, just down the road from me. Plenty of lakes and woods.

The Look Out in Bracknell is also very good, miles and miles of trials and reasonably well sign posted. Very popular though.

There are lots of nice places for a wonder around if you head out of Sunningdale towards Longcross / Chobham however I'm not sure they'd be any good for keeping kids entertained.

I've never got the twisted logic of why people do that! Do they think there is a park warden that comes round retrieving bags off trees?

Or you can go up Church Road in Bagshot, take the First right and park up there and wander down the unmade track, at the bottom of the hill there is couple of gates, it is the far end of Swinley Forest (The Lookout) and is a lot quieter. There are a lot less signs though.
