Hi chaps,

Sorry, I am new on this part of the forum although I do read it from time to time. I feel ashamed to do this but I have to start a what car thread… Before the weekend we need to have brought a sub £1,800 car for my Grandmother’s helper.

The requirements:

Under £1,800
Small Hatch size
Errrr, that’s about it…. Ow it must also be as reliable as possible!

My Gran seems to like the Lupo however I think this might be a little expensive for what you get?

My thought is a Micro or Fiesta in either Manuel or Auto however due to the short time we need to find a car we can’t be to picky! If anyone has any better ideas then I’m all eyes.

Que?

Fiesta or Micra would work, tbh with such an open brief I would be looking at trying to get a morning down at Blackbushe and just see what goes through. Plenty of other small hatches will fit the bill.. how about a Ford Ka?

Very good, spelling is not my strong point…. And many thanks for the reply.

Blackbushe is a very good idea which had slipped my mind. We have in the past brought 3 cars from there so will send my father there as I’m stuck at work.

Very good idea with the Ka and I have found one close by for cheap money, he is viewing that today so will have to wait and see.
