lets hope it does not take a week to put out like last time!

(not saying that they do a bad job... just it was a bugger of a fire to control!)

As posted on face book earlier by me, I nearly got run over by a fire tender, them landrovers move quickly!

We were working in a house at the entrance to the country park when this first kicked off.

I am astounded at the lack of response by motorists in the area to the sight and sound of several tenders trying to enter the park, why do people NOT move out of the way!!

We knew it was serious when we saw the command unit making progress through Frimley on our way home, let's hope they put this one out quickly and no one gets hurt doing so!

Quite insignificant in the grand scheme of things - Mrs R6 was taking her parents shopping into Camberley and stopped on the A30 due to the traffic, after an hour she decided to come home having traveled 3 miles.....

I drove home last night around half eleven and the smell of burning wood, was all the way down to junction 4!

In the end I think they were just trying to stop the fire from spreading and keeping it under control, until it burnt out itself.

There was also a large fire down near the A3 at Thursley, must have been something in the air yesterday biggrin
