I took a while to get a close look at some of the latest Ginetta road cars in a showroom recently!

OH MY GOD!!!

who does their body work?

Looks like the body is made and prepped by Ray Charles and painted outside on a windy day by Stevie Wonder!

Every concevable paint defect on every car.

If thats the best you can do boys I would quit now!

They were new cars ( albeit previously Uk reistered) in the Belgian distributers showroom.

Wassup?
afraid to admit that build quality is on a par with a poor kit car?

'THE' Belgian distributors showroom. WHAT Belgian distributor?

How can they be 'NEW' cars if prev registered? U mean secondhand or if I used the pc term 'Previously owned' cars (lol).

Can't be DARE cars as there is nothing wrong with their body/paintwork.

Did you know that, also, there are quite a few FAKES about? especially in Europe!!!

Any pics?

they were in THE distributors showroom in Leuven.

They were the sheffield build one.
Aparently the SVA is different in Benelux countries so its easiest ti register the cars in UK first.

I have pics but how the hell do you post in here?

Hi, you have to post them first on some website, maybe your own website otherwise use a website like www.imageshack.us/ its easy once you have post them there you copy the link that starts with then drop it in the field for the thread and then we see it but you have to leave that picture always on imageshack because if you remove it there, its also gone on here...
good luck trying and keep us posted

Ahh, SHEFFIELD ones yuck

That's Ginetta in mind, 'not' spirit
('REAL' in spirit Ginettas are Walklett designed and built) i.m.o.
(and in many, many other's opinion too!).

Oh thank god..
I was getting worried, you hadn't instigated this tedious arguement for a least a month John.
Normal service resumes...

The rest of us are out getting on with life as oppose to propreating it through what went on over 15 years ago.

'Tedious'? For some perhaps.
Ok, it's the past, but sometimes it comes back to haunt...

As for 'the rest of us getting on with life...'
'the rest of us' that's pretty far reaching... who are they?

And while I'm here - re my thread about Martin which you had chopped - fair play -
nonetheless, it was implicitly clear that I wished him a 'full recovery'.

You may feel it was disgusting, but I meant nothing offensive and happily retract it, but words can be played with as to however or whoever reads them -

(exactly like the implication by your emoticon banner to all on here that I am 'STUPID!)

There is always a mouthy one in the club!! I thought it was me !! But I am not in the club.
So how long has Jamesg20 been a member in the club 10 minutes!!!!!!! Obviously he is aware of all the past history he must be the only person who think the golden era was when Phaff owned Ginetta's the bankruptcy, and all the other stuff that are too tedious to mention, all the fantastic design that came out of that era HA HA.
Please, do us all a favor sell your car and join another club better still what don't you start a new club with Grundy and Gowland, You can have Phaff as a president.
I have got to stop writing now the tears of laughter are running down my face I can't see the screen properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just got an e-mail telling me that the chairman has resigned (kicked out more like) and it is only January, this year is looking better every day, I think I am soon going to rejoin the club, but not yet, hoping the waffling lapdog will take the hint as well!!!! who ever takes over I am sure will take the club forward in a fair handed way.
Just a thought, with the supporting e-mails that I have had over the recent month, I thing I will put myself forward as chairman!!!! yeah, yeah that's what I am going to do see you all at the AGM.

O yes you have. On one side you have someone who has real passion for all things Ginetta and who should be seen as a real asset to the Ginetta enthusiasts community. Perhaps could be argued can be a little terse on occasions, your intial reply for example, however the vast vast majority of the time its warranted.

On the other side someone who appears..... will let everyone else be the judge of that. Can't be bothered to spare him any more of my time.

So the LNT connection with Mr Tomlinson is viewed in a similar vein as Slomenski and TVR is it?

I just could not believe my eyes atthe condition of these cars!
I have met with the Walklets at their place in Essex and altoughthe cars were not tip top they were older, well used cars!

You see there is a profound difference between my posts on this forum, and yours. I have never stated anything is better than anything else, slagged of any ginetta, or indeed anyone interested in ginetta, I thought the comments of [edited by request: pls contact mods by hitting abuse button to query] in the post above deserved my response. I believe its called 'giving as good as you get'

What I have done is simply defended various people who are not here to do it themsleves against attacks instigated by yoursleves.

I don't believe this will be resolved on here, and i'm not going to be drawn on it further. I am, however, looking forward to meeting you in person to discuss this further. It seems our paths will cross in June.

I will see you at the AGM.

I so love being a Ginetta owner

the rants in the club mag & on the clubs web site in between the tumbleweed rolling past
really make me think of selling up & moving on - then i go & look at the car in tha garage & think "bugger the people - shag the car" er.... drive the car
