When did they change from a Mk5 to Mk6?

I'm searching Ebay for parts to get my Escort going but I'm unsure if its a Mk5 or a Mk6! Is there much difference between them, mechanically speaking?

Mine is a 1995 on a N plate and is the same as this one....
