I'm not actually expecting too much here, as my research online has pretty

much drawn a blank, but I'll ask anyhow....

The front passenger door of my focus won't open, either by key or by the

fob. The rest of the central locking still works as it should.  This

happend a couple of weeks ago, but a few days later, it suddenly started

working again for about a week, then it gave up the ghost again.  To give

some background, the central locking has rarely ever worked without having

to manually lock the passenger door first - THEN the central locking would

work just fine.

I can't get the door panel off with the door shut, because the screws are

at the side, and as such, obscured by the pillars.  I've tried resetting

the keyfob a number of times to no avail.  So, short of physically ripping

the doorcard off, does anyone have any ideas?

Any pointers as to how I can fix it?

Just noticed you are an MOT tester - I presume this would be a failure?

both front doors have to open from inside and out , it might be the cable what opens the door from in side jammed but normally its the main latch what hold the door shut, pull the outside weather strip off and use a welding wire or something to pull on catch usually unlocks it
