2006 Focus creaky steering

I've just got my self a 1.6 Ti-VCT Ghia with 33K on the clock.

I've noticed the steering makes a creaking sound when turning the steering stationary. Sounds like something is dry.. Any ideas?

Great car other wise.

Mine does the same, very intermittently, and I've never been able to work out why!

I was just going to post the same answer. Spent a couple of hours google yesterday! Some other comments also mention strut bearings and arbs.
Abit suprised the parts are worn at such a low mileage car..
