Have a problem with my windows, if i press any of the buttons to go automatic down they are fine but to to go automatic back up they don't go have to hold the button down.

Same with the open all windows and sunroof when unlocking they all go down including sunroof opens but pressing to lock and shut windows they don't go up but sunroof does shut.

Looked at all the fuses that sem to be listed for windows all look OK.

Any ideas

Thanks.

At a guess the one touch learning? Mine did this when I disconnected the battery, I forget the learning process but it is in the handbook........

Appologies Podie, foolish of me not to post the solution.

Basically fully open each window, then close each window holding button down when it reaches the top take finger off button and then press & hold down each button for 5 seconds, it must do some sort of reset.

Did look in the handbook but could not find anything.

Hope this helps anyone else.

Awesome, im gonna try this. Thanks so much for the solution.

I assumed the car didnt have it, which annoyed me, then after doing some recent battery disconnecting, the rears did it and the fronts didnt, then 3 of the 4 did it, all except the drivers window.

Which i thought was odd because the button has a two stage click.

So, great find, this helps me, thanks a load biggrin

I should also add that it went in for an MOT plus it was not running right, idle was 1000 2000 3000 could not make its mind what it wanted to idle at.

Plug it into the computer and come up with about 5 different codes, running lean both banks, both oxygen sensors faulty & random misfire.

Posted this also on Mondeo STOC (sorry can not attach link) but basically it was the breather pipe coming from the right hand side back of the inlet manifold Part no 4461858, must be quite common because my local Ford dealer had one in stock £29 and i wouldn't say thay have a huge stock of parts.

It was split right on the bend so worth investigating if somebody has similar problems.

Hope this helps.

Made a topic (which Dave thankfully pointed out the solution for) myself a few weeks ago. Engine light on but no performance problems, as suggested by Dave, breather pipe was split.

Taped it up and not had a problem since.

I will get round to changing it at some point. I promise. biggrin

If you stand at the front of the car and look at the back of the inlet manifold right hand side at the top by the bulkhead.

You will see the hose pushed onto the manifold.

Sorry can't connect a link to the Mondeo STOC website, if you look at my post for the electric window problem in the faults section there is a picture on there.

Hope this helps
