I just configured a new Focus on the Ford website, Titanium X, 163hp diesel auto and a few options. Ok I know it is a high spec but the price was over £25k.... Anyone know what sort of discount a Ford dealer would give off these RRPs?
Thanks

Not sure now as they have changed their business model a lot but I got over £7k off my 220.

The new pricing structure leaves very little margin in Mondeos. They were losing out to the company car market because P11D values are calculated on list price. They threw the old pricing system of price high and discount lots out and now the list prices are far closer to what you really pay. Don't go in expecting thousands off because you just won't get it.

I got a brand new Mondeo 2.0 Edge for £12k in 2009 with a killer px too. They did have a couple of diesel Zetecs for £14k but I imagine the killer deals will be on petrol cars.

However, i should emphasise they were cars in stock, configured cars tend to be nearer full price.

I work at a Ford dealership so I can advise. The 2.0TDCI engine in across the range is in major constraint as is the Powershift box. Ford quote a 22 week lead time so as long as your not in a rush. Also if you have a part exchange you have to accept the dealers quoting you an estimated part exchange price as its such a long way off. But to give you a idea of dealer margins, Ford give 9% to dealers (from the basic Price Pre VAT) to trade with, the Titanium and Titanium X diesels attract no extra bonus's from Ford.

The days of 6K discounts have gone...Ford simply give less margins to dealers. However you can occasionally find bigger discounts if you qualify for Ford privilege, sometimes Ford will give a bigger customer saving if they are over stocked or notice there new car registrations are slipping behind there expectations.

Any questions PM me.
