great old pics mr simmers!!!
I dontg have a single picture of my old red 1600e, but I do have some of the 2 door 1300 deluxe I ran for 3 years through Uni. Shame I've no scanner to get them digital!
I sold it to a young lad who said he'd treasure it, but pranged it after about 2 months racing with his mates - it was a write off. Big shame,I was the 3rd owner, it had the original bill of sale FSH and was practically mint - lagoon blue with chrome rostyles......

me dad had on e of these, me mam wrote it off, the passenger front wheel came through the floor, i was about 4 and was sat in the front seat, i remember the windscreen falling out and shattering on the bonnet, no one was injured, me dad reshelled it, it was a light blue one to start with but aurbergine after shelling, this was kept a few years but was never the same, it suffered tin worm, the original light blue shell was apparently rust free, this car was eventually replaced with a capri 3000 gxl

cheers fookin ell maxi's, me dad was a real petrolhead in his day, when he brought the capri he took a week off work and rebuilt the engine, next it was respayed midnight blue then had wolfrace slotmags fitted, at the time he worked on boddam powerstaion, (peterhead) so his weekly commuted for 2 years was telford to peterhead lol, neither capri or 1600e ever let him down and neither did snow etc ever stop him
