just picked up a 1967 mustang coupe

I'm super excited I just found a great deal bought a 1967 coupe my favorite car mustang ever made, i know its not a fastback but I prefer the coupe idk why. I paid 600 dollars for The car its very much so just a shell just the body no engine tranny nothing, But the body is almost completely solid me and a buddy (who knows cars more then I) went over it its in great shape. I really wanna get this car driveable as soon as possible only problem is I have no idea where to start i have 6 grand to throw into her right now and plan on continuing to restore her as time goes on I'm only 21 and eventually i wanna turn this beauty into my dream car. I'm not picky about keeping it pure, or as close to original as possible i don't plan on selling this car i just want it to be fast and as fuel efficient as possible.

Would anyone help me draw up a game plan as to where to go from where. what kind of engine/tranny is best to get just in general what to do from here. I have found a wealth of knowledge on the internet but everyone has different ideas and i cant exactly go back to a website for questions thats what brought me here to u wonderful people.
