Not sure if this is allowed [mods please delete if not] I am looking for one of the above.Preferably in black and no sunroof. Do any members know of such a car for sale please?

it will be very difficult to find a 3.0S without a sunroof as they were a standard fit on the mk2& 3 Capri these cars are hard to find at the best of times but without a sunroof as well good luck and I will keep an eye out

Many thanks,but as the car will eventually become a racer,really dont want a sun roof.

then you need to go for a lower engine spec model something like a 1.6L as all you need is the shell

The Germans used to do a 3ltr but with a basic l spec. If lhd does not bother you that might be an option

Did they? The 3.0 was the "Essex" and the German Capris used the "Cologne" which was 2.6 in earlier guises.

We are going to Germany for Christmas as it turns out,staying with some long term friends in Nurburg. They are now on the lookout as well,left or right is not a problem though.

Most Capri's were built in Cologne or Hailwood and then when they were specified with the Essex or cologne engine also over the channel they had a 2.5 cologne engined model which was used as the base model for my last Capri a Zakspeed Turbo
