Ford KA - No rear lights, dash lights or brake lights
Discussion
I received a call last night from a friend who suddenly lost power to the dashboard lights, brake lights, numberplate lights and rear lights.
The car's an MK1 2007 Ford KA. I'm not sure on the model, but it doesn't have central locking or electric windows.
I've checked the fuses, which are all intact. I've also checked the bulbs and all have unbroken filaments.
A quick scan on the web suggests that it could be due to a faulty indicator stalk, which is probably a 2 minute job to replace.
I'm new to Fords, can anyone recommend a reputable company who offer replacement parts? I imagine Ford will (cost-wise) ask her to bend over for the stalk and eBay delivery times rarely live up to their promise. Ideally a company such as GSF where I can pop into this evening.
I'll take the stalk out anyway and check the connectors, might just need a clean.
Cheers

An indicator stalk wouldn't cause all the lights not to work your brake lights work of a different circuit to your lights. I would check if the alternator is charging. I had cars in work wear the lights don't work and the steering has gone heavy due to the alternator but as enough power to run and start the car. Easy to check test the battery when the engine is running should be reading aroung 13.8-14.5v any higher or lower than you have a problem. Also check the battery when the car is not running should read around 12v but leave the car to stand for a hour or so after stoping the car before testing it.
