First post on Pistonheads, thought I'd head over the Ford forum first of all for a read seeing as I own a car with the blue oval....

This is my car..

Fiesta ST with Mountune Racing 200 kit, a tiny wee bit over 200bhp last time I had it on the dyno.

Also has Quiafe ATB diff, Helix organic clutch (a bit horrible around town), H&R monotube coilovers, fully polybushed, group N top mounts, white rear anti-roll bar, DS2500 pads all round with braided lines. Also got an oil cooler fitted recently with the plan being to take it on track next year biggrin

Looks really nice mate thumbup Nice line-up of mods too! I'm also a PB Owner but only slightly modified in comparison. K&N57i, 60mm tb, lowered 35mm and RS splitter. Looking to do more so on for a full milltek next and after the ST170 Brake set up!

Those wheels look quite nice what are they? And also how is the 200 kit, i went out in my mates and was a right hoot!

Thanks smile

The wheels are made by Braid, a model called 'Winrace A', and are 16x7 so a little smaller (and a lot lighter) than the standard wheels. Nobody here really seems to have heard of Braid but they make a lot of wheels for motorsport, far more common in Europe though than the UK.

As for the mountune 200 kit, its great fun, the sound is addictive and it pulls from low revs in a much more eager fashion than it did with just the 185 kit.

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the ST170 setup when/if you do change, although I have uprated pads, fluid and lines I must say I have been slightly underwhelmed. The DS2500s have also started to become very sqeauky of late as well frown

Fairly Common Mod people do ( a few forums have guides on it ) There essentially Mondeo or st170 Calipers and carriers but use st170 disks as the mondeo disks are 5 stud!

I had EBC greenstuff pads all round but on the original disks theyre not as good as i had hoped!

Oh I know how to change the brakes (I'm a member on FiestaSTOC), just wondered if they were actually much better than stock? smile

The front splitter on your car looks decent, I'm tempted to get one although its seriously low as it is, I've already got a small scrape on one corner of the front bumper that will need touching up come the spring!

Massively better, if you're not going for Focus RS Brembos or AP's these are they ones to get. Cheapest brake upgrade you can do to give you the biggest advantages smile

Cheers i've actually had no issues with clearance ( well over speedbumps ) as i go slow but cant comment on any steep driveways :/
