Just a quick question, my Focus (2001 Y Reg) currently has a tape player in. Would this be a straight swap? I think it will, but want to double check first.

Can't get to ebay at work, but as long as it's a 6000CD with the rotary volume control, it's a straight swap and will work with the remote control as well.

It'll go straight in and work fine.

It's simple. If you don't have a special Ford removal tool (and who would?), just stick something in the 4 holes to unclip the radio and pull out. I tend to use kebab skewers (don't tell the Mrs).
The connections in the back are identical, so just swap over and push the radio back home.

I've got 2 of them Ford cd players! 1 out of my Cougar, and one out of my Mondeo what got scrapped last week. £20 posted if you want one? Half the price of that ebay link!

Bugger! Wish I saw this before, already paid for it!

Thanks though!

I'm useless with anything to do with cars it seems!

I've managed to take it out and swap the cables over, however it doesn't seem to fit in...it sticks out about 1cm and doesn't click into place. I've noticed on the back of my old one, it has a white clip, and on the new one it doesn't. Would this be the reason? I can try and get a photo if no one understands what I'm on about.

It works without it being pushed in, but doesn't look very nice.

Also, is it possible to fit a AUX cable somehow to it? Would be nice to be able to use my iPod still.
