I've got the above car which is probably going to g to a scrappy this week. So I don't get my pants pulled down, what should I expect for it? It's a runner with a very short MOT and tax, but probably not going to pass again.

Interior is black cloth, paint is silver, wheels are original alloys, but tatty.

I'd have thought s couple of hundred quit, as it's quite heavy. Is this ridiculous?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Depends whereabouts in the country you are as scrap values vary wildly.

Round here you could probably expect £150-200.

Although, if its got some salvageable bits on it, strip it! Light Clusters, interior, engine bits, panels, steering wheel, glass, anything you can safely remove and store. Then bung the bits on ebay. You'll end up with more £££s.

The scrappy man will still come and collect your shell and give you £100-150.

He will only do the same as the above wink

You'll usually get around £100 per ton.

Why not put it on ebay as spares or repair listing all it's faults? I did this with a MK2 Mondeo which needed work for an MOT and go more for it than what I would have done if I had just taken it to the scrappy.

Thanks for the replies chaps...

It's currently sat on eBay as Spares or Repairs for £300 Buy It Now.

The auction is at £113 at the moment, so we'll see what happens.
