2.5 engine - anything to look out for ?

Hi all, I'm considering an S-MAX as I need a cheapish 7 seater for a temporary family run around. Any ideas on what to look out for on the 2.5 engine... Any main services, weak spots, stuff to check etc...

Same as the ST, which is cracked blocks, oil diaphragm splitting, so it sounds like a jet plane. Both are possible, but they say if your car has done over 40k miles, the block issues are usually remote after that. Clutches can be a bit soft on some years, usually about 2007 ish. Other than that, pretty good.
