Just spend ages getting the plate off as the screws kept spinning. Can't now re-screw the new one on and have tried sticky pads but it fell off. Any ideas? Thanks

Better quality sticky pads. Some 3M ones or something

As shown, the focus has raised dimples to bolt the plate onto.If you use pads, you will need to pack them thick to fit and looks a bit meh......
You may need to replace the rivnut inserts that are knackered by drilling them out and replacing them, I then bolted a plate holder on and stick the number plate onto that.

I've stuck mine on with sticky pads. I had the same issue. Got thick pads from halfords. It hasn't fallen off yet.

You can get spacer pads from ebay or just use two normal pads with a bit of plastic between.

Screwing plates on looks naff anyway.

My rear plate is just covered in double sided sticky tape, and bent at a curve to fit on.

I always use bathroom sealant.

Sticks it hard and if some bugger tries to nick your plates the plastic comes off the back and destroys the letters/numbers.
