ST170 Alarm Issue
Discussion
Hi Guys,
My ST170 has been very tempermental recently. Every so often the door ajar light flashes on intermittently. Now this hasn't been too much of a bother too me as i know the doors, boot and bonet are secure however. Every so often and tends to be always during the night the alarm gets set off by the car deciding something is ajar.
I have narrowed the problem down to the boot. I have lubricated all the the latches including the boot and usually a good hard slam usually fixes the problem temporarily. Its becoming a pain getting up in the middle of the night to turn off the alarm.
Any suggestions of what i can do? Im not entirely sure where the sensor is on the boot lock so any picture would be very welcome. The car is in the mechanic for the next couple of days getting the cat replaced, the mechanic said he'll take a quick look at the latch, however im reluctant to go down the road of spending a small fortune on it. i'll be doing some extensive headlight light restoration and exhaust cleaning this weekend so i would like to tackle this problem aswell.
Any suggestions would be very welcomeing i'll post up pics of the process I take to tackle the issue. Or pics of what it at least looks like so you guys can better help identify my problem!
Thanks!
