I've kept a bit of an eye on prices to see what's happening in the market but what's the general feeling?

09 plates still seem to be hovering at the £20k mark. At the moment they look like a very attractive buy.

ive owned one for about 2 months now and paid a little over £20k for a 59 frozen white with lux 2, leather and bluetooth with the wheels and vents done in black, it was modded but im getting it to 400bhp soon. just buy one as ive had some good cars in the past but this is by far the best. if you havent already done it get on "focusrsoc.com" as you can find out everything and anything on there and it will prob convince you to go and buy one

I used to have a Dreamscienced ST which I bought when first released and was on STOC for quite a while so I'm in no doubts that the RS will be even better.

Do you get much unwanted attention at all? I saw a PB parked up yesterday and it actually looked a lot more discrete than you'd think. Only trouble I ever had with the ST was having the wheels stolen but a new set of locking nuts would have sorted this (and a tilt sensor fitted).

I believe prices are holding up well, had mine for almost 3 years & is still worth around £19K. When they 1st appeared the owners forums were gussing the prices would be down to around £13k! Even high mileage ones are still fetching £16k!

Oh & PB defo the best colour!!!

You'd like to think that after 3 years prices wouldn't suddenly crash. The new Focus is pig ugly so even if they do release an RS I really can't see it having the same desirability.

They're definitely a keeper. Perhaps even a future classic? Who knows.

You need to be aware of the mileages when people are quoting these figures. Mine sits at 32,000 miles. Its a daily driver, track hack and Jack of all trades. It recently sat at £18,000 when valued. It has Lux 1, BT&USB, Half Leather/Alcantara. One of my friends which has hers at 45,000 - similar spec, use etc was valued at £17,500. If you rarely use yours.. then yes it'll hold a high value. If you use it for what it was intended for, it's just like any other car at the moment.

Future classic.... Hope so!

ETA: Picture! Im a pic we!! PB is the best for not being in your face.

gets attention pretty much every time i drive it but its all good. its a weekend toy so doesnt get left around all over the place but i am quite careful where i park just to be safe although most modern security is pretty good anyway the theives need the keys so i wouldnt worry about it or let it put you off. most stories of jealous vandalism ive heard of seems to be aimed at the ultimate green cars so blue or white would be a safer option if you want to be a bit more descreet

Mine got punted across a space when parked up in tescos car park a while back, lucky not to have any damage more than a front bumper insert. No cctv, so i picked up the bill. There are some jealous people in this world. Green also seems to be the colour that the police notice more...

I am now looking for a RS Focus too, ideally a 59 or 10 plate, UG or FW, with Lux Pack 1, Bluetooth/USB + Leather. Ideally under 15K mileage.

Seems difficult to find such a spec, cars either have Lux Pack 1 AND 2 (don't want 2) or have LP1 only with Bluetooth/USB but no leather frown

I think the Mk2 is holding it's value really well, you'd imagine the 59 plate cars to be nearer £15k considering their age and list price, but they seem to be still around the £20k mark....this is not good for me, as I want one!

I bought mine just under a year ago the full works, UG, lux pack 1+2, BT+ USB, leather upgrade with less than 3k miles on it for £22k, its not up to 10k and got offered £20k from a dealer the other week for it.... so i didnt think that was too bad, considering its an 09 plate too....

cheeky pic!

p.s - UG is fastest biggrin lol

I must say I'm rather pleased at how values are holding up on mk2 RS's. I thought I would have shed a lot more in depreciation by now.

I also hope the care I've lavished on mine will contrast with others ragging theirs to death.

The mk2 frs is a great car, I had a massive spec one in white, it was silly fast, I took a px on a lesser spec one (420 spec) to free up some cash, I must admit I've really enjoyed the new one, I did like the old one but the thought of something breaking was often on my mind!!!
