Its worth what you or anyone else wants to pay,as with all cars.
It was on here for £7500 which is cheap compared to genuine shelled cossie's as they seem to be around 10k upwards.
However it is a non genuine shell cosworth so it should be cheaper,in my eyes.
Would 8500 be a million miles away?It was on here for £7500 which is cheap compared to genuine shelled cossie's as they seem to be around 10k upwards.

If it was me personally, than yes its to much at £8500 as its to close to genuine shell cars.
However i do not know how to value the car with its modifications etc, which do not appeal to me as i would prefer a genuine standard one.

Why wouldn't you change the V5 to reflect what it now is?
Unless the previous owner has been insuring it as a 2.0L...
Because it might then need an IVA?Unless the previous owner has been insuring it as a 2.0L...
Why would anyone buy a bitsa car that isn't what it says it is, built by a bloke you never met, with possibly no real skills, using parts of questionable source and integrity?
Turn Ebay off and step away from the keyboard.

As far as i know you can not.Unless the previous owner has been insuring it as a 2.0L...
The cars id is what it started out life as from the factory ie is that of a standard 2 litre gl etc.
The fact it has a cossie lump in it now makes no differance.

The owner would be quite within his rights to insure it as a 2.0 as that's what it is.He would also have to declare the modifications though to be legally insured.Unless the previous owner has been insuring it as a 2.0L...
You can't change a V5 anyway, they could have used the original Cosworth id and do what is known as ringing the car but that's also illegal.
If i was buying it i would rather have the base logbook with the Cosworth running gear rather than a ringer.
