Reverse light switch

Morning chaps,I have a 2006 Mondeo ST220 and have recently noticed that the reversing sensor aid has either stopped working or works part time,upon checking this out I have noticed that when they have stopped working the reverse lights dont work could this be a reverse light switch problem or maybe a fuse problem? If this is a reverse light switch can anyone point me in the direction of its location.Many Thanks.

Most likely the switch. It's on top of the gearbag, under the battery and air filter. You need to remove the battery and the battery box to get at the switch. Easy, but fiddly job.
