Mondeo estate mk3 - talk to me
Discussion
I’m in the market for a mk3 mondeo estate. Cheap family motor for the next few years. I’ve pretty much decided petrol rather than diesel as I do about 6k miles a year, consumption not really an issue, petrol generally more reliable/less maintenance issues (no turbo, high pressure injectors etc). Also intending to look for a facelift model (2003-). Later petrols have swirl flaps sorted (2.0) and the Dual Mass Flywheel is only an issue on Diesel (is that correct?).
2.0 or 2.5 V6?
Manual or Auto?
Will be looking for higher end trim; Ghia or Ghia X or Titanium or Titanium X.
If I get a 2.5 V6 I think I’d rather get an auto (I live central London so stirring your own gears can get tiring). Is the 2.0 auto sluggish/underpowered to drive?
Views/thoughts/ideas welcome.

I'd go for 2.5 V6 personally, it's a nicer driving experience IMO. Titanium X of course.
