Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody more technically minded than myself could shed some light on a problem I'm having with my Puma?
On start up, the car is fine, idle is constant, acceleration is smooth and the car picks up straight away. If the revs return to idle after I've set off (through stopping or otherwise), the car then starts to 'chug' (the only way I can think to decribe it - power, no power, power, no power) when accelerating and can actually decelerate at even throttle. When more throttle is applied, the engine picks up, but then soon starts 'chugging' again. Also, when this started happening, the ABS and traction control lights came on.
Any ideas anyone? Car is 2000/W Millennium edition with 93k.
Cheers
Matt

Considering the lights coming on my wild guess would be coil pack, I think it's fairly common on the Zetec-S engines.
I don't know if a vacuum leak would cause the lights to come on?
Idle valves are dodgy on some older Zetec-S engines but I think the lights would rule that out.
Edit: Or do I mean Zetec-E..?
