Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice before I spuff a load of money! Ive got a 1.4tdci Fiesta which im hoping to make look a bit less like something my nan would drive. The plan is to turn it into an ST replica, have not seen this done to a 5 door before so just wondering any problems I may encounter in regards to fitting the bumpers and spoiler. Im guessing they will fit but was hoping to double check fitment sizes, guessing fiesta parts are pretty much interchangable?

Beyond that the plan is to fit either a set of these - http://team-dynamics.com/wheeldetail.php?ProRace3 or the ST500 wheels (if I can find a set). Not a fan of the standard ST wheels, bit boring.

Also planning on having a stage 1 remap, apparantly this gives plenty of torque - anyone else had their fiesta remapped able to confirm?

No plans on uprating the breaks as yet, would like a disc conversion on the back, can anyone suggest anything?

Cheers for any responses in advance beer

Don't do it.

Seriously making a 5 door Fiesta ST replica is pointless, you'd be better served saving money you will spend on mods and increased insurance for when you can afford to insure a real ST or at the very least a MK6 Zetec S (also available in diesel form if that's your thing).

Why not just remap it add a nice set of wheels, lower it and finish at that putting a body kit on a 5 door designed for a 3 door is not a good idea.

Why not listen to the people in the first thread you started it will just look crap and will be throwing money away.

I don't know if that was aimed at me or the other Chris but honestly you'll be pissing money away trying to make a 1.4tdci quick and a 5door ST look a like will be an equally aimless way to spunk cash on a car.

Put up with the car until you can afford something better (either purchase or insurance) and if you 'must' modify a car do subtle things that can be reversed and possibly taken with you to your next motor.

Be offended if you like but why ask for advice and then ignore it? You won't find a huge amount of mutual backslapping for pointless mods on this forum I'm afraid.

Didnt ask for advice on doing it or not, I asked for advice in on fitment and parts. Sorry for the bluntness but I though this was clear

Your OP says 'looking for advice before spending money', my only real advice is don't bother you'd have more fun spending £1k or more on a lads holiday or putting it towards your next motor.

The missis wont let me go on another lads holiday frown

In all fairness i wont be spending a lot, I can do all/majority of the work myself and the money will get wasted on something either way.

I commented on your other post as well but guessing you may take more notice of replies to this thread.

IMO I dont like after market alloys on any car, and if you are aiming for an ST replica then it has to have ST wheels. ST500 rims are the same as normal ST rims but coated panther black I believe.

You will want a Zetec-S rear bumper with diffuser etc. as the ST one has a cutout for the exhaust which you wont need.

What exact colour is your Fiesta?

Thanks for the response smile

Ahh, that makes sense, was mainly the wheels I was after so colour is no major issue.

Had not considered that, cheers I will keep my eye out!

It is stardust silver, well the most of it is, previous owner let some cowboy bodyshop loose on the one side and it looks a million shades off which is another thing on my list of things to do..

It's doesn't look too barried but like others have said if I was the OP I would/would've gone with a genuine ST.
