Evening! I currently drive a 2005 1.4 Fiesta. I really like the look of Pumas though and always have. But would there be any point in going from my Fiesta to the Puma? Would I notice the .3L difference? (What does a puma weigh anyway?).

Ive been quite focused on selling my Fiesta to buy an mk2 MR2, but there doesnt seem to be any decent examples near to me at the moment, hence looking at Pumas.

Anyone have any experience of both?

In support of the Fiesta, I find it to be a very fun drive when pushed even a little bit, and the 1.4 is actually quite pokey and naughty.

The Puma is lighter that your Mk6 Fiesta and has more poke (although still not enough for my liking) It will definitely feel quicker and is a fantastic drivers car. Sadly the downside to the Puma is the rust in the rear arches which is virtually designed in by Ford.

My girlfriend has the same Fiesta as you exception to it being the smaller 1.25 engine, my work colleague has a Puma.
To be honest the Fiesta is better built and I find it quite alot of fun, personally if I were in your situation I'd see the Puma as downgrading and not worthwhile.
