What in real world driving do you get out of an RS, 25 average out of a tank, 28 on a gentle run?

And do they need to be run on super, though preferred I assume?

Any feedback from owners would be appreciated.

Cheers

I always run mine on super, I'm running 350ps though, so it's beneficial. On an average run I get 24-28mpg around the 70-80mph mark on the motorway. Recently I've got around 310-330 miles to a tank, dependent on how low in the gauge you want to run it to. On track i get about 7 mpg.

Cheers, do they have to be run on super? 24-28 on a run isn't so bad.

Love the on track figure, superb!

With the bottom of the market hovering at 17/18k these are getting very tempting!

Do the lux packs (1 or 2 - though not sure what they consist of yet) make much difference to price/residuals? Likewise colour? Blue or white in that order being my favourite.

You'll probably end up with "Greens fastest" comments, but in reality, you're probably better off with the more subdued colours.

Lux 1 - Dual Zone Climate Control. Reverse Parking Sensors, Auto light, Auto Wipers
Lux 2 - Sat Nav
Bt + USB
Leather/Alcantara Seats

I have a Performance Blue 59 plate, Lux 1, Bt + USB, Leather Alcantara and 34000mi on the clock after two years of owning since new and mine was recently valued at £20,500.

Running super always helps when pushing on - better safe than sorry!

Driving quickly on A/B roads I get about 23, chuck a few long journeys in and it rapidly climbs through 25. That's on super.

Short version of spec levels: Lux 1 has loads of nice extras, Lux 2 adds a satnav and reverse camera but loses 6 CD and DAB.

ETA I have the same spec as Hedgehog (bar the paint colour - mine's green) - the upgraded seats are a bit sombre but much less likely to get grubby.

We get around 24mpg on ours, running near 400bhp. That's mostly a & B roads. Last time I filled up £73 the computer gave me a range of 196miles.

To be fair that was a fill up after James Nash had been driving it hard around silverstone. So probably not a true figure (hopefully). We have only had it a few weeks. We bought it from Mountune it's their old demo, hasn't had an easy life but was a bit of a steal considering its got £12k worth of kit on it.

I average 22mpg but I have seen 28.5 on a motorway trip on a steady 80 - 85mph, the key is to drive it off turbo.

I'd have snapped their hand off. I let my full spec 59 reg pb go for £19750
back in march this year

I was going to! But my insurance company quoted me a year older on the Exige S i was looking at. Just spent 3k on Stage 2, Intercooler, Coilovers, Big brakes, tow straps, braided lines, grooved rear discs and bluestuff pads so not selling anytime soon! However, i will direct you to this thread: http://www.focusrsoc.com/forums/topic/26189-thinki...

Post number 6 where i looked and found some nice cars for a possible new member!

FFS! If I drive mine 'off turbo' I get about 680 off a tank full.

Main reason why I drive a 1.9tdi not a nutter Focus I suppose.
