Streetka Engine woes (1.6 rocam/duratec 8v)

Hi guys I'm at a bit of a loss here, does anyone know where I can track down a workshop manual for the 1.6 duratec 8v engine which I'm told is actually a Zetec-rocam in the street ka. It keeps boiling it's coolant and I think it's come to this although I'll do a compression and a sniff test first.

We've also had pretty major starting problems - ie turn over but won't catch several times. Car is a bit of a lemon tbh but Ive changed plugs, leads, fuel filter, air filter and it's not helped much leading me towards the lack of compression route.

If its an iron block head I expect the overheating won't have warped anything but you never know.. Any tips for this job or is it fairly straight forward?
