Focus Mk 1.5 Dripping In Driver Footwell - Help
Discussion
Hi - I have a 2002 mk 1.5 Focus Ghia 2.0 which has developed a drip into the driver's footwell, which seems to come from right above the clutch pedal. It drips onto the end of my left foot when the engines running - would it be a fault with the climate control? It still seems to work ok, just the dripping. And this is when it's heating.
Any thoughts/ help much appreciated

when i worked for ford we used to get a fair few problems with this, there never seemed to be a link betweek jobs however as they all seemed to leak in different places, best thing to do to start of with is romove the drives seat and bend back the carpet and remove the rubber sounproofing from the foot well, get a freind to use a hose in the engine bay toward the fire wall and try to locate where the water is seaping in from, if theres no, water coming through at this point then your best bet would probably be the heater control valve
Thanks for the replies. It doesn't seem to be related to rain/ being wet outside - just to the climate control unit being on. So I can leave it for days in the rain, and nothing is wet. Then I start the engine and it drips through slowly - I'll check any obvious blockages first I think , then maybe check the heater
