fitting an Aux in to a 2007 focus with 6000cd
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I understand I can fit an aux in cable to the radio in my car as it has the aux button etc.
The radio in question is the newer 6000cd unit (the silver roundish version)
I rang ford this morning and they said that they dont supply the adaptor but halfords do, trouble is I don't really know what I'm looking for?
Has anybody fitted one?? or does anybody have a link to a show-you-how type website?
Cheers
Rob

First of all check your glovebox as you *may* already have an aux-in socket installed. Can't remember the dates they started fitting them but if you have a MK2.5 (funky headlight shape) you might be lucky.
If not then you can do it (Ford talking rubbish).
First carefully remove chrome trim and using radio removal tongs (or a couple or wire coathangers) remove the radio and you'll find a aux socket around the back.
Use this cable:

and run from the cable through the glovebox and out to your mp3 (you may well need a second cable depending on your phone/mp3 player).
Plenty of help and how guides on here if you need further help!

Fantastic, thank you very much! It's a 57 plate mk2 so It might already have one, I'll have to look when I pick it up on Tuesday!
I'm thinking of putting the cable out by the 12v supply so that I can charge the mp3 whilst it plays, don't know if that's possible though, will have to have a look.
Thanks again
