Mk5 Ford Fiesta Lights
Discussion
Hey guys, Getting really frustrated now, Recently changed the engine in my fiesta, now got a few problems.
1) My side lights don't work (fuse's and bulbs are fine)
2) My dashboard lights will only come on after 2 clicks.
3) When i put my main beam on, all the lights on the car go out.
Iv changed the light module on the steering wheel, and still got nothing.
Nothing to do with the engine change, but my drivers door lock will only lock the car, not open it.
Any Help will be greatly appreciated!
Ben

your right with the first port of cool, normally the fuse or bulbs however, when you changed the engine over did you change the fuse box, as diffrent fuse boxes have diffent relays or ecu's depending which engine was fitted you should be able to solve this by replacing the relay with the original, if not id avise taking it to fords to reprograme the ecu, as diffrent diffrent looms dont operate the same way, you may have to manually re-wire them in yourself,
hope this helps

RE: the driver's door lock - it's probably a worn lock barrel. A common fault on Mk.4/5 Fiestas. You can lock those Fiestas with any Fiesta key, but as the barrel wears through usage, it struggles to recognise your key and allow it to unlock. There was a guy on ebay who will supply both passenger and driver's locks to match your key of send the key to him for around £35.
