Focus 2.0cc petrol, views?
Discussion
The mrs has got her eye on an 09 focus 2.0 petrol convertible that she wants to see tomo.
Concerns are that we have 2 kiddies aged 3 1/2 and 6 months, how is the room in the back for these?
Also, boot, how useful or useless is it with both roof up and down?
How reliable are they, any issues to note?
Cheers and Tia for any replies.

I was selling Fords when these were out, or trying not to sell them as was the case.
We used to refer to them as the coupe colander. We refused to retail used examples and they were very difficult to trade on. If someone came in with a used one you just hoped it was on a PCP and a hand back to Ford was a possibility.
I’ve never seen one with dry carpets so check them very carefully.
That being said I always was strangely attracted to them and wondered what an ST version would be like.

Had a look at one this morning, first thing I did was look inside for damp. The car was at a dealers, and had been outside so been rained on quite heavily for a while. Carpets inside and in the boot, dry as a bone. Nice enough motor, no poke from the 2.0l but its for the wife and she liked it. If they can get the numbers to work then we'll do the deal. The pram and car seats fit well, even with the roof down so that's the major selling point!
