I'm assuming most Fords have similar overhead consoles........ and am looking for advice on the removal of the overhead console in a Ford Cougar. It houses the warning lights and interior lighting, but is needed to be removed in order to replace the exterior aerial

I've pushed and pulled, and no joy - and would rather not break any clips on removal..... any advice?

Might be the same as other fords of the time. unclip the interior light and there will be a couple of screws behind holding hte trim to the roof. there may also be a metal ring around the edge of the hole in the roof lining, that the unit clips over to hold it tight against the roof lining.

As said prise out the interior light unit, disconnect the connectors, remove the 2 screws behind this, pull it down and disconnect the sunroof switch if fitted and the warning light bezel. smile
