ST170, power steering has died.
Discussion
The last few weeks when parking ive noticed the power steering seemed to stop working intermittently, at first I thought maybe just the revs getting a bit too low but it started happening more often.
Today it seems to have stopped working all together. Not noticeable when above a few mph but at parking speeds it is very heavy. Theres enough fluid in it, no noticeable leaks, the belt is spinning the pump fine, and yes, theres air in the tyres.
Any ideas?

it could be any number of things most likely blocked return valves/pipes are you actually getting flow from the system ie taken the lid off the resevoir and stuck your finger in to check its flowing or you could be very unlucky and the impeller in the pump could have broken off the shaft which is why you can see the pulley spinning but getting no assistance but if that had happened I would have thought it would still have jammed the shaft enough to stop the pulley
