I have a ford mondeo that i was driving about 90mph naulty i know and this day the car went in to limp mode and stall on me so i turn the key of and on and it was ok again. But from that day it struggle to start until one morning it did not start at all unless it was jump started which is strange. once it is started the car runs fine. If i put my foot down there was Black smoke coming from the exhaust and when i get to around 60 to 70 mph the glow plug light comes on and then stalls. But i can then start it again and it fine unless i do the same thing again. so I changed the glow plugs and the first on the left had a lot of oil on it and the 2nd one had a little but none on the 3rd and 4th plug. Is this the problem or could it be the egr valve or something else.

Many thanks

It may be the dreaded injector issue or the egr issue.
Ring up a ford specialist and tell them your symptoms. What ever it is I guarantee it will be common.
Those engines are not one of fords greatest achievements!
