Hi,
I performed a decent service on my car over the weekend.
Changed oil and filter
Replaced Discs and front pads
Replaced rear shoes.

Once completed everything was complete i noticed the handbrake light was still on. It doesn't turn off at the moment.

Is this the hand brake sensor in the photo below?

Any ideas on what could be the problems?

Could adjusting the handbrake because of the new shoes solve the issue?

Thanks
N

Handbrake switch is on the lever in the car,but it`s most likely that you need to add or remove some fluid from your master cylinder.

That cable could be the ABS rotation sensor. The handbrake switch is a small conventional switch, usually located just under the handbrake. As the previous poster says, I suspect that your brake fluid level needs topping up.
