Shall I get my Focus Remapped/Chipped?

I have the old 90Hp TDDI Ford focus as a day to day car. I have heard that it responds quite well to Remapping.

Is it worth it? What are the downsides?
I've heard of people getting up to 120hp from it, which is a vast improvement, and thus is very tempting to do.

Where is the best place to go/buy from to get a remap, I've seen prices vary from £150 to £450.

I susspect a map that gives it 120bhp will cause rather a bit of engine ware/damage. If you really want a new map, you may be better off mapping it for fuel efficiancy rather than power. Also, the gear box probably won't cope with all the extra torque than comes from that sort of map.

I wouldn't waste the money. Save the cash to put toward something better later on.
