Think it may be to do with the A/C, but looks like a wire has been cut? It's located front offside (driver side):

It looks like either the low or high pressure A/C switch.

Ahh thanks, yes could well be. It's my aunts car and someone had told her it was to do with the fog lights! Didn't seem right to me but don't know the car that well. I forgot to say that the picture is looking upwards from the ground.
