ST220 - Cost of new OEM exhaust?

The offside rear silencer appears to be partially rusted through what looks like some sort of outer skin - it doesn't seem to be blowing yet. I don't know how much longer it's got though.

It looks like the whole system from the cat back is one piece - does anyone know how much a replacement is from Ford? Is it much cheaper than buying a JP exhaust for example?

I was quoted £1000 about 5 years ago, as unbelievable as that sounds. Eitherway you would probably save a fortune going with an aftermarket system.

JP all day long. After 3 years of a Milltek I don't miss it, mine has only two silencers at the rear so is a bit louder when you floor but than a standard off the shelf JP, worth looking into, unless you want it nearly as quiet as the OEM with just a changed note.

If I bought a standard JP would it be much louder than OEM while just driving along normally (in town, sitting at 70 on the motorway, etc)?

Virtually no difference. Even my modded version is barely audible at cruising speeds. And despite what people might say it does improve on the original system in respect of flow, I noticed a difference even going from a Milltek, but until I get a RR plot done I cannot prove it (people on internets need proofs )

I've just bought a Mondeo ST 220 Estate with a JP exhaust, and its very quiet for an aftermarket exhaust, in fact if I wasn't told I wouldn't of known.
