Mondeo TDCi 130 (Euro4) won't hot start
Discussion
I bought a 2006 Mondeo TDCi 130 from garage. EGR valve sticking so blanked it off as advised by breakdown company.
Car runs fine all the time EXCEPT if I drive it for say 20 mins and park it need perhaps 4 tries at starting. Just like fuel line evaporation in a petrol car. Once the fuel comes through the car OK for rest of the day, unless I stop and try to restart. Starts perfectly 1st flick when cold in a morning.
The key seems to talk to the secuity system light in the clock and the warm up light goes out. The battery and starter both seem perfect.
Whilst in Mr Speedy I asked manager anout it and he said impossible!
Any help/advise most welcome as I live in French countryside 200 niles past Le Mans!
