Ford Focus mirror cap removal

My 2012 ford focus side indicator repeater in the mirror has stopped working I am guessing the bulb has gone. well I hope that is what it is.

I have looked in the ford handbook that came with the car and it does not give any info on how to remove the mirror cap, I really don't want to break it so I thought I would ask on here if anyone would be able to give me so advise on how best to remove it?

I really don't fancy sending to the dealers other.

They are just clipped on, get a thin flatblade screwdriver and pry the painted mirror cap off.

I have an 08 plate focus, so not the same model, but had to replace one of these caps. Take it very easy, there are plastic clips on both long sides of the panel, you need to push down while also pulling away if I remember correctly. A very thin screwdriver blade will help, but watch out for marking of scratching the paint.
