Im an apprentice mechanic just bought a mk3 capri for my first car. it's a 1.3l and it's as slow as a week in the jail. i'd like to be able to keep up with modern traffic but not anything to powerfull. how hard would it be to fit a 1600 crossflow ?

Straight swop, only difference is the block height for the longer stroke.

if youre going to the trouble of a swap i'd go for something a bit more purposeful than that. there are good zetec conversion kits around if you want to keep engine size down.
