I have just bought a 56 plate Mondeo estate from work. Its done 130k but has a full service history and has no real issues and cost me the huge sum of 1100 quid. Im really pleased with it but its and LX model (most basic) and it would be great if I could easily add a few toys.

The leather interiors are available on Ebay however they are electric and heated. My car has electric height adjustment but manual eveything else and no heating. Does anyone know if if is mostly plug and play? I know I will need to install the heater switches but is there much else and is it a pain or easy to do?

Also the seating wheel as all the buttons for cruise control! How easy is this to add? Is it just a software thing or is there much hardware? Again anyone done this? Was it a pain?

It has an aftermarket reversing sensor already but is there anything else you would add?

I would have a look at the Haynes' manual first. They aren't brilliant, but they usually have a reasonably good diagram of the electrical system. You may find that there is a low spec wiring loom and a high spec. If so, then you might find that you have to fit some extra wires for the seat.

Pretty much plug and play, the only prob is if you buy a pre face lift interior there is a difference in the wiring plugs.
