That's the joys of new cars. Having said that, I like QH, and try to use them when Ford parts are NLA or extortionately expensive. Has the car possibly been damaged, causing parts to fail prematurely - banged into a kerb or something? MK3 mondeos are famous for their banana springs, but strut top bearings etc should last a good long time.

If you've had a garage do the work, talk to them about the parts failing - they should be able to speak to the factors to sort something out. if you've fitted them yourself, it will be harder, but still worth saying.

I do a mix of garage supply+fit, fit only and DIY (where its not a big job) to save what I can where I can.

parts are usually factor supply or garages supplier, the worst so far seem Ebay suppliers

I can recall rebuilding a front suspension with pattern parts, and after eighteen months the bearings were buggered.

As we used to say: made from camel's manure and bus tickets.

Yes, another one I can remember!

Replaced a starter which lasted about 3 days. Perhaps I should have taken it back, but being me, I disassembled the thing and discovered the soldered joint between the alloy strip from the stator winding and the brass terminal had failed - the original soldering was rubbish. Now, aluminium isn't easy to solder in air (it oxidizes), so I re-soldered it to the brass terminal within a gas flame (no oxygen in a gas flame). Reassembled and it worked perfectly and never failed again.

Buy some good quality parts. Sometimes factor stuff is st tbh I had parts in the past that have been rubbish quality.

As with most things cheap isn't always cost effective.

How old are the parts ? Maybe get warranty on them
